Austin Polytech represents a unique public-private partnership. Although APA is primarily funded as part of the Chicago Public School system, we have several academic and enrichment programs that go under- or un-funded every year. APA's nationally-recognized Advanced Manufacturing Career Program is operated and supported by the not-for-profit (501c3) organization Center for Labor & Community Research (CLCR).
We are seeking donations for the following initiatives:
- Safe Passage School Bus Transportation for APA Students: We pick-up and drop-off APA students from two neighborhood sites everyday so students can safely commute to school.
- ACT Preparation Tutoring: Students receive extra tutoring and test prep to succeed on the ACT.
- Student Incentive Program: APA regularly rewards top performing students in academics and attendance.
- CLCR fundraises year-round from individuals, businesses and foundations to support the dedicated Career Program staff and activities including fieldtrips to manufacturing facilities, job shadowing, internships, industry credentialing manufacturing partner-cultivation, community outreach, student leadership development and many more.
If you are interested in supporting the Austin Polytech academic and enrichment programs or the CLCR-operated Adv. Manufacturing Career Program at Austin Polytech please consider a tax-deductible donation today. You can contribute online securely via PayPal by clicking the button below.
